Representing Salinas Puerto Rico, meet Erika Inez Green, Miss Puerto Rico 2004. Currently a Junior on the High Honor Roll with a 93 grade point average, I am a cheerleader, on the year book staff and an active volunteer in the community. I have been a recipient of several academic achievement and leadership awards. I enjoy singing, dancing, writing, playing sports and being a mentor to young children. My future plans and goals include finishing high school and graduating with High Honors. I would like to attend Harvard Law School, graduate at the top of my class and become a successful Latino lawyer. I do not live by one specific quote but two quotes that are influential in my life are, “Be proud of who you are” and “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” As a queen and teenager I have many responsibilities and decisions to make. These two quotes are written in my planner and help me get through every waking moment in my life. They help me to remember that I am who I am and no one can change that and to see being different is never a negative thing but yet, one of the best things you can be. Being your Miss Puerto Rico of Rochester has been a honor and a true blessing. This title has enriched me in many ways but most of all has helped me find myself and truly proud of being a young Latina. |
