Aurora Vega was born in Holyoke, Mass. At the age of one, her family moved to Rochester. She attended SUNY Geneseo and completed her Bachelor's degree in Sociology, "Study of Behaviorism". She worked in the Human Services field for approximately 13 years servicing the community. She married in 2005 and has no children at this time. She has volunteered for five years. She also teaches dance class two Saturdays a month at her Local church, Hope Christian Fellowship. This is her fourth year volunteering for the Puerto Rican festival and 3rd year as a board member. She was the Vendor Coordinator her second year and returned back to coordinating the Children and Youth performance activities in 2010.
