Travel and Lodge Coordinator, Ida Perez
Ida Perez
Director of Ibero Early Childhood Services, Ibero Early Childhood Services

My name is Ida Perez, a life-long resident of Rochester New York. I am the mother of two young adults and grandmother of a beautiful little girl. During the past 20 years I have worked in the early childhood field as a Pre-school Teacher, Literacy Specialist and today as Director for Ibero Early Childhood Services. I am a graduate from Roberts Wesleyan College where I completed my bachelors' degree in Organizational Management.

Although I have served on numerous boards and advisory committees, my involvement with the Puerto Rican Festival has been my passion. I started over 13 years ago as a volunteer for the children's activities. Since then I have been a board member and I served as Board President from 2004 to 2008. One of my primary commitments to the Puerto Rican Festival is to maintain the Musica Jibara as part of the entertainment for this event. With my assistance we have been able to bring folklore legends like La Familia Sanabria, Maribel Delgado, Christian Nieves, Edwin Colon Zayas and his sister Emma, and Prodigio Claudio just to mention a few. I am proud to be Puerto Rican and I always find opportunities to share my culture, language, food and music with others.
